– What is the cancellation policy?

Because we are such a small operation, we have what might appear to be a strict cancellation policy.

If notice is received within 90 days of arrival, we are unable to issue a refund, unless we are able to re-book, then we will refund the days we are able to re-book minus a $50 cancellation fee. If notice is received 90 days or more in advance of arrival, a full refund will be issued minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cleaning fee will be refunded in any case, however transaction fee cannot be refunded.

We, ourselves, are travelers too and know that emergencies can and do occur. – Late Check-Out?

Check-Out is at 11:00 am. If available you can stay till 3 pm at no charge, however, if you wish to keep the cottage for use after that, then there is a charge of 50% of your room rate and we will guarantee a late Check-Out till your flight time, but this has to be confirmed beforehand. If your flight departs after 8 pm, then I would recommend this highly.

– Can we book all the cottages and have a family and friends get-together.?

We are not a good option for get-togethers as there is no covered common area for the group to gather. Ohana house, although larger than any of the other cottages, can only comfortably hold 8 guests in the dining room. Because of this shortcoming and other issues, we do not encourage group bookings.

– How far are you from the beach?

We are a block from the beach. Just a five minute walk.

– Will my cottage have internet?

All of our cottages are equipped with free wireless internet.

– Do you provide Beach Gear?

We have coolers, chairs, mats, umbrellas, boogie boards and fins. You only need to buy a mask if you wish to snorkel. We have you covered with the rest including plastic beach toys for kids.

– How far are you from the Airport?

We are 5 miles from the airport. It is a 15 minute ride and a cab costs <$25.

– Early Check-In?

Check-In is at 3:00pm. If possible we can accommodate early Check-In. Call us from the airport to see if it is possible.

– Is breakfast included?

No, we do not serve breakfast.

– Do you have a license to operate a vacation rental?

We have been issued a permit by Kauai County to operate a vacation rental. Our permit number is TVNC-1070.

– Do you have a phone in the cottages?

We do not, but there is a phone available on premises for free calls to USA and Canada.

– Do you have laundry facilities?

We have washer/dryer available at no charge. Detergent is included.

– Do I need a car to get around?

It is possible to make do without a car and use a combination of bicycle and public transportation. However, your mobility will be limited and you will not be able to visit quite a few places.
